What to bring

What goes in your child's bag

Children work in the garden every season, so the bag is practical.

  • Rain boots

Boots that stay on and can get muddy. They live on the shelf by the garden door.

  • Layers

A jacket for cold mornings and one that can get wet. Children take layers on and off themselves.

  • A sun hat

From spring to early fall, a hat that stays on in the garden.

  • A water bottle

A bottle with your child's name on the bottom, refilled at the child-height sink.

  • Lunch from home

For school-day children: a lunch your child can open and eat on their own.

  • A spare set of clothes

A full change in a labeled bag, kept at school.
